Good morning!
Everything we try to do (or not do) today will have to be done in the strength of the Lord. When you see the sign for your favorite milkshake, toot your horn at the devil and drive on! You're going to be about God's business today, accomplishing all you can in His name!
The primary motivator for this group is to be strong and healthy enough to fulfill our God-given destiny on this earth. When we are weak, tired or beaten down, we cannot do that! The secondary purpose for this group is to be strong and healthy enough to THOROUGHLY enjoy the journey of life. God built a sense of adventure into all of us. Our unhealthy habits and addictions are usually some sort of illegitimate attempt to meet that need! We will find fulfillment in God and then fill our lives with wonderful pursuits that reflect His creativity and sense of adventure and fun! Being happy and living life to the fullest (which includes having hobbies and special interests that bring us joy) is part of God's plan for our lives. We reflect His joy when doing that and we take advantage of the full life He longs to see us enjoy! He gets pleasure in seeing us enjoy the journey and just be us!
24 A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, 25 for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment?
